Strawberry Banana layered Smoothie

Ingredients

    Strawberry Layer

  • 1/2 cup juice (of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup ice

    Banana Layer

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup banana
  • to taste honey
  • 1/2 cup ice

Recipe Instructions

Strawberry layer:

Add juice, yogurt, banana, strawberries, and ice to blender. Always add the liquid to the blender first. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses until half full, put in freezer.

 

Banana layer:

Add milk, yogurt, banana, honey, and ice to blender. Blend until smooth.

Slowly pour the banana mixture on top of the strawberry mixture. Serve Immediately

 

Feel free to use whatever juice you have available, although apple and orange are always good choices. Frozen fruits work very well for smoothies and add to the icy texture. Substitute cherry, raspberry, or even blueberries for the strawberries. You can also substitute coconut for the banana layer for coconut.  Add sugar or honey as needed.
