Sugar Cookies


    Sugar cookies:

  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 3/4 tsp Salt


  • 4 cups Powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Meringue powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 5-8 Tbsp Water

Recipe Instructions

Sugar cookies: Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheet with parchment. Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in eggs, vanilla and almond extract. Add flour, cornstarch and salt. Mix until combined, about 3-5 minutes. Roll the dough 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes. Bake 9 to 12 minutes. Cool and decorate with icing.

Icing: Beat ingredients together on high for 7-10 minutes. Add more water if too thick or more powdered sugar if too thin.
