- 1 Yeast cake (dissolve in 1/3 cup water with 1 Tbsp sugar)
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 3 Eggs (beaten)
- 4 1/2 cups Flour
Scald milk and add remaining ingredients. Cover and let sit in refrigerator overnight. Half dough and roll out. Pat with flour for easy handling.
Melt an additional 1/2 cup butter and spread over dough. Cut dough into 16ths, (like pizza). Start at large end rolling to the little end. Place roll with little end down while baking. Let rise 4-6 hours in a cool place. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes.
