Pros: Easy to replace.
Cons: Like all plastic, it doesn’t last. We make 400+ dozen cookies during the holidays and every year I’m replacing both the gear and the cookie paddles because they wear out. Disappointed that Bosch can’t come up with an aluminum alternative.

When you buy a replacement bowl you will need this part and the part at the base of the bowl that allows you to connect with the gears. We used our old bowl part for that but it is not described for you on the website. The shell itself is good, our beaters were shaving the plastic around the inside after 20 years. It looks like new, now.

Although I do feel the parts could be made a little more durable. I have to replace the spur gear and beaters a couple times a year.
