  • 6 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Royal icing
  • Christmas cookie cutters

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and baking soda. In your Bosch stand mixer with the cookie paddle attachment, add the sugar and butter, creaming them together. Once combined, add in the salt, spices, eggs, then the molasses. Set your stand mixer to low and slowly add the flour mixture to your wet ingredients.

Once the dough forms, divide it into 3 parts wrapped in food-safe plastic and place in the fridge for about 1 hour. Right before you remove the dough, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. With the chilled dough rolled to ¼ inch thickness, cut out shapes, place on greased baking sheets, then place in the fridge for 10 minutes. Once the cookies are firm, bake them for 11-13 minutes. Decorate the gingerbread cookies with royal icing.

If you love peppermint and chocolate, making these peppermint chocolate crinkle cookies is a must this Christmas season. You’ll need:

  • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate baking bar
  • ¾ cup of flour
  • 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar, plus extra rolling the cookies
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp salted butter
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¾ tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate bar together for around 60 seconds or until smooth. Add the peppermint and eggs to the melted mix, stirring well to ensure they are combined. Pour the melted mix into your Bosch stand mixer bowl, ensuring you have your Bosch cookie paddle attachment on.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and 1 ½ cups of the powdered sugar. Add the flour mixture to the ingredients in the stand mixer while on low speed and mix until a soft dough forms.

Put the remaining powdered sugar into a bowl, and lightly dust your hands with the powdered sugar. Portion out small balls of dough in your hands, roll them in the sugar then place the balls on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake the cookie dough for 7-9 minutes. Allow them to cool on the sheet for at least 5 minutes before moving to a wire rack for cooling.
